Residing in Capitol Hill, our Steward Fiona and her family have blended the ornamental and edible world. A perfect example of Cottage Gardening style, utilizing soft edges and meandering paths to transport you into the countryside. In an urban area, this quiet garden provides a place for everyone, with shady corners and borders for little ones to run around and a cool place for our birds to retreat to in the summer heat. Openings in the design provide gathering areas and veggie beds for families and friends to relax, eat from their land, and celebrate this life.

Yakisugi door
Yakisugi is an intentional and time-consuming technique compared to the construction norms we have here. This traditional woodworking technique utilizes fire and wood brushing to create a beautiful and long-lasting finished product. With no VOCs, this is an excellent design option for families with young kids roaming around in the garden.
